https://www.yahoo.com/parenting/dad-enlists-cops-to-give-daughter-tickets-to-a-106627164707.html

"After the rough year Audra Daniloff had endured – spending more than 60 days in the hospital recovering from a rare disease that struck her in February 2013 – her dad thought she deserved a pick-me-up. Little did Marc Daniloff know, though, that the treat he decided to give his daughter would bring smiles to millions.

Marc, a business coach, enlisted police in their hometown of Saukville, Wisc., to pull over the 17-year-old as she drove to school and give her two tickets – a concert ticket to see her favorite band and an airline ticket to fly to NYC, where the group was playing the final concert of its tour. “Any father of a teen daughter will tell you, there’s a small window to amaze her, and I took advantage of it,” the father tells Yahoo Parenting. “I didn’t think I’d ever get to see the look on her face when she got the surprise, though.”

For the record, he tells her right out he's stopping her for runnng the stop sign.

So what? a lot of people get off on being submissive. What is your point?

He's stopping her for a stop sign or claiming to? How the hell did he have plane and concert tickets for someone who run a stop sign? And if she didn't how would he legally stop her? By claiming she run a stop sign maybe?

More B.S. damage control propaganda from the Master's whip wielders.

A cop gives homeless man boots, cop buys shoplifting mother food, etc. etc. etc. BALONEY!

The media has gone into hyperdrive trying to cover these fabricated Public Relations set ups.

Today Louis Gohmert was hosting Sean Vannity's radio show. It was endless calls of your favorite STATE EnFORCEr stories. Endless calls of stupid SHEEPLE praising their oppressors. Gohmert had to make sure he referenced 9-11 in nearly every sentence.

If somehow THE STATE loses their dimwitted "conservative" supporters, I think they know the game would be over.

Of course it did.

He (successfully) trolled you, just like you like to troll him.

I just wanted to see if this thread could also get to like 11 pages of the same 3 characters slinging around you know what.

I should've left out she ran a stop sign and made a better title like "cop uses tax payers money to do favors on illegal detainment stops under the threat of death to brainwash young women under threats of violence!!" That wouldve led the herd.... :D

So far stealthy and David have the best posts yet. David has the most accurate (being boring story) and stealthy funniest/most insightful.

Gonzales v. Castle Rock CO, 2005. Google it. ALL of you should. I'm as serious as a f'ing heart attack on that one. EVERYONE should be aware of what's there. That case is so sad and real, it's scary how easy that crap is.

Read it.

1st & 2nd paragraphs are important, but the third & fourth is bone chilling. That could be your children.

Who ya gonna call? Ghostbusters? Can't call 911.

I think all here know that cops are pretty much on the scene most times after all the "action" has ended.

What I find most telling and disappointing is that in spite of the forum rules and the inherent intent there, we only have criticism of the officer(s) conduct. Not a kind or gentle word. Many times we have read of wanting to see the return of "Officer Friendly" who helped and advised in a positive manner many of the people with whom he/she had contact.

I see no conspiracy to white wash bad conduct of others with feel good stories - see no campaign to make officers appear better than they individually are.

If these acts of good intentions/motives were not conducted in a way acceptable to all - well so be it. I liked what I saw and heard and will accept it/them at face value, until or unless something more sinister is proven.

LEOs using their office to do something nice..........how terrible! (sarcasm).

I think if I was the dad I'd have been on the ride-along.
1) Giving her the tix - suppose concert is some time in the future, otherwise I might have ditched to celebrate & get packed,
2) Cop advised to call her dad, but did he encourage to call using cellphone driving in a school zone, or rolling stop signs??

I think you're missing the point.

1. People (particularly on 2A / personal freedom forums) might not trust cops anymore, as a group.
a) bogus stops in general
b) No knock raids of the wrong apartment
c) Breaking into a neighbor's apartment to get a bead on a BG in some other apartment
d) Abusing suspects in handcuffs
e) People stealing LE ID or equipment and announcing 'police' and doing a B&E
f) LE failing to respond or getting there after the event is over
g) LE investigating easy crimes like walking the dog while armed
h) LE profiling and stopping AA in NYC for no reason
i) LE responding to a crime and investigating the caller not the potential assailant
j) Quotas for traffic stops and arrests
k) Militarization of LE
l) Over use of SWAT
m) Failure to admit wrongdoing
n) Failure to allow independent investigation of wrong doing
o) Punishing internal whistle-blowers
p) Blatantly not knowing the law for various traffic violations (one taillight for ex)
q) Planting evidence
r) 'Cops of the year' busted in substance stings
s) Lying on the witness stand
t) Being judge-jury-and executioner (shooting people who are unarmed and who have not committed a crime)
u) Being trigger-happy
v) Shooting children (and lying about it)
w) Overzealous enforcement of minor crimes resulting in collateral damage
x) Using power of office to commit or suppress criminal activity
y) Destroying evidence (being filmed wrongdoing)
z) Lying about the wrongdoing of other cops

...I've run out of letters, but you might get the gist. Is every LEO doing these things, no. Just giving a reason people who have supported L&O in the past are now stepping back.

2. Cops should NOT be using "their office" to do things outside their purview - that is pretending to stop people as if they've broken a law to do a good deed. I don't know of anyone who, after the fact would not say 'oh, stopping me on bogus charges to give me a (concert) ticket? NO THANKS!'.

A heart warming story. Good cops are like leprechauns. I nor anyone I know has ever seen one, but you can certainly find stories about them.
