Anyone have anything planned yet for the evening of Friday, March 4?? That evening the Columbia River Friends of NRA is holding their annual banquet at the TRAC in Pasco. It would be great to see several forum members in attendance that night. Who knows, you might walk away with a new sidearm :)

To get tickets or to know more, please go to: Columbia Basin Friends of NRA Banquet. You can also send me a private message with how many tickets you would like & to make arrangements to pay for the tickets & to pick them up.

TRAC Center is owned and operated by Franklin County with financial support from the City of Pasco.

So that means OC is good to go, correct?

We've had a string of Friends of NRA organizers in Las Vegas that seem to go out of their way to piss off big donors by using facilities that prohibit carrying. Unbelievable.

TRAC is owned/operated by Franklin County, it is expected that there will be attendees carrying (though most will be CC). Being that drinking is going to happen as there will be alcohol service, it's using your best judgement.

The desired venue is sometimes a compromise between cost and likes. The result is almost certainly the loss of some likes in favor of a desired cost.

I know one of the Washington State chapters (Mount Rainier, if remember right) is holding their Friends of NRA Banquet at Emerald Queen Casino (Definitely a GFZ).

Thankfully Tri-Cities has a few different options available for Banquet Facilities that are not GFZ.

Doubtful. USDA Prime grade beef is very expensive. More likely a beef rib roast of some lesser USDA grade. Don't call it prime rib unless it's USDA Prime grade.[/COLOR]

The name prime rib comes from the fact that the roast comes from one of the primal cuts of meat. The name long predates the existence of the USDA and any rating systems they use.

If you look at the bottom of page 154 of their PDF explaining their labeling policy, prime rib is not required to be made from USDA Prime beef.

Looking ahead to the 2017 25th Anniversary Columbia Basin Friends of NRA Banquet

I realize that the 2016 banquet has not even been done yet, but how about planning ahead to attend the 2017 Columbia Basin Friends of NRA Banquet, which will be the 25th Anniversary Celebration. Currently looking at Friday, March 3, 2017 for the date, though that is tentative.

Seeking ideas as to how to make that evening happen & make it a fun, special night for all who attend.

After thoughts

We had a great turn out, as we had 74 of 75 tables filled.

Unsure exactly of totals yet, but the turnout was great, & was very successful.
