Case was dismissed today with prejudice.
I wonder if being an actor like, Johnny Depp had anything to do with the outcome??

I don't think there are any laws, but I'm sure there a special terms of use for insurance coverage. I would think in this day and age no ammunition of any type would be allowed on set. Sound effects are easily dubbed in. Even the picture can be altered to appear to contain objects that are not really there. Are there any laws that cover special circumstances when it comes to movie productions when guns are used?
Most movie actors are probably ignorant to gun handling, so when an actor is handed a 'live' gun and ACTION is called, is he responsible to verify it only contains blanks?
Totally agree. One of the principal concepts of American justice at work there. Funny how these principals of justice are turned on their head when the deep state uses lawfare to go after 45. (I am a libertarian and my slant is not pro Trump so much as it is anti deep state)As much as I despise Alec Baldwin a "Brady Rule" violation is a BIG NO NO. Some will say he got away with it. Maybe so, but the prosecution knew that the box of live ammo could be a critical piece of evidence in the case in the eyes of the jury and it was NOT disclosed.
I can't speak to all laws, everywhere, but the Actors Equity (union) publishes this: https://www.actorsequity.org/resour...t all guns as if,have no knowledge about guns. Are there any laws that cover special circumstances when it comes to movie productions when guns are used?
