Washington State Senate race draws big anti-gun bucks
:cuss:
A bare knuckles political race to fill an empty seat in the Washington State Senate – potentially shifting control from Republicans to Democrats – is drawing some big money from the gun prohibition lobby and essentially puts the lie to a perennial claim by anti-gunners that the National Rifle Association buys elections.

"Gov. Jay Inslee Wednesday morning had two key take-aways on Manka Dhingra’s strong lead in Washington’s pivotal 45th District state Senate race. First, the obvious: If Democrats succeed in unifying control of the Legislature, they could push through stalled bills on voting rights [ensure that non-citizens can vote for Democrats], women’s contraceptives [make "someone else" pay for them], gun safety [throw gun owners in jail] and the environment [strip property tax payers of the right to use their own property] . Much of that legislation has died in the Senate, where a Republican coalition has held a one-vote majority. Democrats hold a slim majority in the House. "

It didn't help us that Republican candidate repudiated gun owner support, and repudiated Trump. Why vote for a wishy washy person when you can vote for an open Marxist?

This was my issue with Englund too. She kicked her base in the face, and she lost the race. Didn't work with Mckenna, didn't work with Bryant, and didn't work with Vance but hey, 4th time's the charm right?
