This one has almost snuck passed me. HB 328 changes the law on keeping a gun in a car on school property and prohibits students from doing so. Last year a student was arrest when a shotgun was found in his car at school. He had been bird hunting and just threw it in the trunk of his car a forgot about it. Perfectly legal, but he was arrested. Later, all charges dropped. I understand the intent of this but why is this needed? Are students less responsible at 18 than everybody else? It has already passed the House by a big margin. I don't get it, the bill's got just one sponsor.
