Budget panel approves concealed carry with permits, training required

More than 100 comments an hour... wheee.

People with permits from other states could carry concealed weapons in Wisconsin as long as their home state also required training and background checks.
That's different.
Before _any_ state permit was OK for non-WI residents.
And still, any other state permit seems to be OK as proof of training, even those that don't require training.

Sen. Lena Taylor (D-Milwaukee) said she saw a loophole in the bill because people would be able to drink in some parks while carrying guns.
Does she really think that people don't do that now?

Well, at least my hunter's safety qualifies, otherwise I'd be really pissed. I didn't want required training, but if I can use something I already got, then that's better than paying $200 to take a training course.

No ****. It looks like the 6 hours up to Jack's is a must now. Put me down for a #2 (hehe). Any weekday classes?

All the Dems voted against it. Interesting as my Dem ******* Wirch voted FOR CC the last two times. His office said he would vote FOR CC this time if there was training and a permit... and yet he didn't. Wait. He wasn't even ON the Panel? Who cares.

Guess what Wirch. Your recall petition went through. Sucks to be you.

Time to drop the hammer on these *****. Every single last one of them. Including Walker. And you know what. I'm going come out and say it. The guy was a douche from the start. I NEVER liked him. I mean who the **** doesn't like trains? Less Government my ass.

OK, over on the JS article, who are "luvtheovals" (obviously someone in the MKE area) and "gamersdontcry"? I'm currently posting as RedHot. (I set up the account when I was feeling particularly happy with myself. Hope to get back there someday.)

I don't like trains, I don't like Walker or the Rino's in the state house much either.

So what if your home state (in my case Georgia) doesn't require training, but I do in fact have training? And proof thereof?

I think the controlling thing is background checks. So....I believe (have to see final version) that as long as your state does a background check, WI will recognize it.

Can somebody answer this?

How in the world did they "negotiate" this revision to SB93? Specifically who and how long has this been ongoing, completely under the radar? I suspect that one party was the NRA because this change was announced first by the NRA liaison on Vicki McKenna's show and because the exclusion from training for those who had "shot in competitions" portion. Who was the NRA negotiating with? Anyone have the names of those individuals?

It has been stated that certain members of the GOP flatly refused to consider SB93 in its prior form and would not consider the bill without training/permits.

Anyone know who these parties are without question?

I don't know man. I personally saw and heard Darren LaSorte say at the Mad hearing the NRA was mistaken all these years in demanding permits. He was there to support Constitutional Carry.

I suppose we will have to wait until the next time the GOP is desperate to curry favor with us to make the next step towards freedom. While I will never vote for the democrat socialists, I won't cry if and when the Rinos get booted out. We are strongest when they are weakest.
