In typical NC fashion, without knowing where Hurricane Irma will make landfall & approximately 5 days before said impact to the Tarheel state, the good Governor Cooper has declared a state of emergency urging NC citizens to prepare to ensure they have enough food, water, and appropriate personal medications (legal!:uhoh:)to assure you can ride out the maybe inbound hurricane.

on that vein, please remember during this state of emergency, that in 2012 the District Court rejected previous governmental mandates that citizens must unarm during these periods.

"While the bans imposed … may be limited in duration, it cannot be overlooked that the statutes strip peaceable, law-abiding citizens of the right to arm themselves in defense of hearth and home, striking at the very core of the Second Amendment," Senior U.S. District Judge Malcolm J. Howard wrote in his order."

(sidebar, remember GRNC was stictly a wanta-be as Alan Gura of the Second Amendment Foundation brought about this victory for NC citizens.)

bottom line be prepared and carry on!
