WA Anti-Gunners Whine: Gun Owners Are Contacting Lawmakers

“We’re less than 72 hours from our next hearing day,” the Alliance for Gun Responsibility lamented in a Monday email, “and we just learned the gun lobby is bombarding state legislators with calls and emails speaking out against the gun safety legislation at the top of our agenda."

”The “gun lobby” they are talking about consists of thousands of Evergreen State gun owners who are not letting the well-financed gun control crowd waltz into Olympia like they own the place, simply because Democrats now control the Legislature...."

SHOT Show Day 3 in Las Vegas; WA Lawmakers Talk Gun Control

On the third day of the 2018 Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show in Las Vegas, business appears to be booming, but many Evergreen State gun industry folks here are looking homeward where the state House Judiciary Committee is holding public hearings on gun control measures aimed at their rights and livelihoods.

SB 6415 Hearing held earlier today

The Law & Justice Committee just held a hearing concerning SB 6415 which would require that a person carrying a firearm must seek permission from the property owner/designee to be allowed to carry firearm on the premises.

Text of SB 6415

How I am reading the bill text, it states residence or dwelling place, however with how things are going, that definition could get expanded to include businesses & other private property.

Also as listed in the bill text, it'd be a misdemeanor charge with a suspension of 5 years of CPL.
