I was just wondering, with all the violence taking place, even though your on the other side of the country.
It might get bad in the cities, but small towns, are usually good.
What are your thoughts on all that's going on ?
One more thing, I was also wondering if the military would gun down an armed open carrier, or just try to disarm him.

Might this member inquire to whom your post is directed to "on the other side of the country"?

Who is "your" you refer to?

The Posse Comitatus Act is an act that prohibits the federal government from using the armed forces [Army & USAF only] as a posse comitatus for law enforcement, except in cases and circumstances expressly authorized by the Constitution or Act of Congress. The 1878 act is cited in 18 USCS § 1385.

note, national guard & state defence units are normally under the authority of a State's governor!

Eisenhower invoked it in '57; trump threatened to invoke the act last but didn't.

True buckeye aren't ya 🙄😳👍

[ohio national guard not Army/USAF members and Gov Rhodes called them in at behest of Akron's mayor...
If memory serves, those walking down Columbus' high street in the university district during the same period became quite uneasy and made sure their hands were open to show they weren't carrying anything line chunks of concrete, etc.~ er, so i've read !]

I'm sure Custard was impressed w/Sioux and their allies, the Northern Cheyenne during their meeting at Little Bighorn.[sidebar - not sure how the Natives "snuck" up on the cavalry killing everyone, but...eh...real history...

Guess you could say the Custer, battle was a reckoning for all the raids on there villages, and the killing that happened there
some get real mad when you raid and ravage ones homeland, and villages. Nuff said !
