Folks you have to be careful of Craigslist. people have been murdered using it. Thank God the victim was armed. Get trained to use a gun, get insurance in case you need a lawyer and bear your arms! In the meanwhile practice at a range or on your property if you live in the country.

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

A man turned the tables on alleged robbers during a Craigslist deal Thursday night after being held at gunpoint in the parking lot of a Baton Rouge bowling alley.

Mikhail Kotlov said he was simply trying to buy an I-pad from a man Thursday night in the parking lot of All Star Lanes bowling alley on Airline Highway when mid-transaction, the arrangement quickly went south.

And give some thought to avoiding highly risky situations. Meeting someone in a business parking lot after dark for a cash transaction is a risky endeavor. Especially alone.

Internet anonymity and disposable cell phones have made all on-line classifieds riskier than their paper versions may have been decades ago.

This story is a good reminder to be cautious about where and how one meets to conduct business.
