well i have notice that i get lot more weird looks then i use to. i then realized it might be because i have changed how i carry my glock. I am a south paw so i have in the past had it on my left side but as of late i have moved it to my right side allowing me to cross draw. i have 2 mags on my left and the butt of a gun stick out on my right. does this mode of carry look more noticeable to the sheeple and hence more intimidating. i really like like how it feels and how it is when i sit in the car. just thought

I have tried this on occasion and found, at least to me, that it sticks out quite a bit more than strongside carry. When I carry on my strongside, it fits right in, but with the butt of the gun forward, it's quite a bit more noticeable.

That is how my dad carries his. I have been wondering... WHAT makes a firearm "visable"? What if I carried a very small handgun in a holster, to where just the handle barely shows? (the holster being completely visable) I ask this because, I saw a guy OCing a small gun in a big holster (the holster was black nylon and was hardly recognisable as a holster)

Just my opinion, but I think that having it cross draw would be a lot more noticeable. Having a gun on the strongside, you have a pretty sleek profile of the gun, and it blends in really well. Cross draw, you have something poking out that doesn't look natural. It's probably the opposite from someone walking up behind you, but you only notice the people's reaction in front of you.

I didn't mean it the way it sounded hahaha! I totally agree that it is way more visable when you have a crossdraw... what I meant was...

In Utah law, "What defines a firearm as openly displayed" sorry for the confusion! lol! I completely agree with you! The only good I can see fromcrossdraw is... It makes it more difficult for a BG to come up from behind and take it ;)
