I have purchased dozens of firearms in the city of Seattle over the past 12 years. I have never been delayed.
I now live in Federal Way, and my first 2 purchases took the usual time. Then I got delayed 10 days on a pump shotgun.
I then decided to purchase a Walther Q5 match and a Q5 .22lr last week, and got a call saying that federal way police department has delayed me for 30 days.
I'm 42, got into a fight when I as 18. That's what they are looking into.
Has anyone else experienced 30 day delays when purchasing multiple firearms within a short period of time specifically for background issues, not relating to COVID?
Curious if 1639 is a factor in this...
