Murray's Salon & barber shop [owners name is Chris (702)-821-1100 2nd floor next to JC Penny's] they just opened on yesterday (9-7-12) they are really nice and decent prices, got myself a good shave.

Did you say shave? Like an actual barber shop? Sounds like my new place...

Big Guns...

While in Big Gun's on Mt. Vista I was talking with people behind the counter and some customers. One of the customers was saying how he thinks blue card is a good idea because it weeds out the people who should not have a gun. I and the guy behind the counter both told him that the bad guys don't pay attention to registration only the law abiding saps like us do. I just can't understand the thought process of some people.

By the way, no signs, no evil eye, nothing with concern to OC at all. Very friendly and gave me a good deal on some ammo cans.

Open carry in all local business in Pahrump never an issue. However, the same group that owns PTs owns three of the largest casinos in Pahrump and has a no firearm policy. There is one small casino Irena’s, cheap and very good food has a sign saying on concealed weapons. Not sure why, however OCed in there many times never an issue.
Today as I was leaving Smiths saw, assuming husband, and wife both open carrying. Nothing says sexy than a good-looking young lady open carrying a nice firearm.

Wife and I went to tom foolery's this morning to get some breakfast like we have done many times. We sat down and when the waitress came up the first thing she asked was if I was police officer. I told her I wasn't and then she preceded to tell me it was against state law to have a gun in a bar(we were on the restaurant side, not that that would matter).she was completely confident in her understanding of the laws and would not listen to a word I said. The manager was not their to talk to. She said they had just had a bunch of cops in there and they had told her it was illegal and they have had problems before. Can't find any contact info so I'm guessing I'm going to have to call and talk to the manager or go back in later. I've never had to deal with a business like this and could use some help.

The wife and I have been in there a number of times as well with never a word. Who was in charge of the place?

Chances are, she isn't from here, and was spouting laws from another state. It's amazing how people don't realize that these laws vary from state to state. I don't believe her "bunch of cops" story. She most likely made it up, on the fly, in an effort to support her argument.

OC'd at Lowes on nellis near cheyene and no incidents to speak of. Met one of my neighbors while I was walking to Albertson's and she seemed to be happy living near a gun owner lol. I went to Tireworks on Lake Mead and Hollywood today too and had no problems. They really helped me out and bled my brake system for free!

We didn't even have a chance to order. I asked to speak with the manager but she said he wasn't there and didn't offer anybody else to talk to. Plus she didn't want to hear anymore of about it because she knew she was right. I hope we work it out because we enjoy going there. Never had an issue the dozen previous times and one of the waitresses in the morning was pro oc because her bf does it.

You definitely need to ensure she gets educated properly.

Also for the future and anyone else that gets told this kind of, "manager isn't here" story...there is always someone there who is in charge. If they say the manager is not there, than ask to speak with the next person down the line. I think it was a Walmart someone had that happen at as well...especially with a chain/corporate deal there is always a "manager on duty" you can speak with.
