open carry at work

Hey guys,
I have a few questions regarding carrying at work, whether it be OC or CC. If permitted by the owner/management is it legal to carry on the premises of ones work place without a license in Texas?

If your employer has given you direct permission to carry on premises, then you can carry without a LTC.

might assure it is in writing since you are not on your property and oh, keep said document on your person while at work...include something they won't hold you pecuniary liable if YOUR firearm used while at work.

but how are you going to get your firearm from residence to work w/o TX permit or

if leaving firearm at work how will it be secured to assure it isn't misappropriated or worse stolen

concepts you must consider and weigh...

Thanks for the information guys! My understanding is that it is legal to carry on your person while in your dwelling and in your vehicle, as well as transport to and from vehicle to dwelling and vice versa, or is that incorrect for here in Texas?

Tex. Penal Code § 46.02(a-1). For other narrow exceptions to the requirement that firearms in cars and watercraft be concealed, see section 46.15(b).

Texas does not require a person to have a valid handgun license in order to carry a loaded handgun in a motor vehicle or watercraft if the vehicle is owned by the person or under the person’s control. When leaving vehicle going into work, I would have the firearm in a bag or case. Like solus said, make sure you get something in written form and signed, just to cover your backside.
