regarding the reconsideration vote in the House

Just an FYI regarding the reconsideration in the House that was defeated -- that was made by a pro-carry rep explicitly so that the anti-gun folks could NOT attempt to move to reconsider it later on (if enough of the pro-gun reps left). It was essentially a parliamentary move that prevented the anti-gun folks from attempting to derail the bill later on.

I chatted briefly with a rep after the vote and that's what was explained to me - figured I'd share the info.

So basically, they get one attempt at a reconsideration motion; and this legislator decided to use up that attempt on the spot?

Nice.
