Two people are dead after a shooting on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, according to Mecklenburg Emergency Medical Service Agency.
Two other people are being treated for life-threatening injuries, and two more people have non-life threatening injuries, the agency said.
One person is in custody, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police tweeted. "No reason to believe anyone else involved," they wrote.
Another criminal protection zone........

Do a search of NC shooting and you will immediately see the newspeek media feeding frenzy has begun spreading their misinformation to satisfy various purposes?

Oh my, CBS17 had a blurb after the weather overview, then went to footage w/university chancellor & police chief as well as the Governor spoke; more footage showed students being marched with hands up under heavily armed swat members; then went to middle school of a victim who already been released; but no news regarding shooter or motive or victims.

Then the newscasters switched to a 47 year old murder being solved by DNA directed to an old prisoner in FL.

In fact they spent more time on the 47yo murder blurb then the shooting!

Another "shooter" that never hurt a soul, no interest in guns, just goes off out of the clear blue and shoots up a college for no reason.

I predict he will either be dead or an incoherent brain fried idiot before he can be questioned. Wild guess on my part.
Just in time for House gun control silliness simultaneously being proposed

Convient aint it. Look for more of this with ever increasing frequency.

Howell, 21, likely went through the same active shooter drills as countless other students of his generation. They were taught to run away if they can, hide if they can't run and if the horrible situation arises where a gunman prevents those two choices — fight for their lives.

Here’s a thought: Let them carry. Provide free, voluntary training on armed self-defense. Let them shoot the bastards. Then maybe heroes won’t have to die to save others.

Regarding the bolded part: If...IF...IF... the situation arises??? It will arise for some. Those will have to just accept option 4: Be shot and likely die.

If people can not be trusted to carry weapons in a college/school in case of confrontation....because who knows, they may shoot someone with their gun if they get into an argument, get upset over a grade, or their girl breaks up with them.....then we have BIGGER problems ahead of us. If NO ONE can be trusted with a weapon to be responsible and not use it to indiscriminately destroy other human life, then how do people survive on a daily basis? If people are "one incident away" from shooting up people with their personally owned gun for self-defense, then how do we live on a daily basis with vehicles, chemicals, gasoline, etc etc etc.?

Reject the false premise. Guns on campi saves lives else cops would not be armed.
They were taught to run away if they can, hide if they can't run and if the horrible situation arises where a gunman prevents those two choices — fight for their lives.
Schools want dead kids, else they would not impede a citizen's right to lawfully arm themselves to be better equipped to fight for their lives.

Cops want dead kids else they would not oppose lawfully armed citizens who would be better equipped to fight for their lives.

Liberals want dead kids cuz it advances their anti-individual liberty agenda.

Alas populace is told to capitulate in the power & control situation ~ HOMELAND’s mandates, quote

QUICKLY DETERMINE THE MOST REASONABLE WAY TO PROTECT YOUR OWN LIFE. CUSTOMERS AND CLIENTS ARE LIKELY TO FOLLOW THE LEAD OF EMPLOYEES AND MANAGERS DURING AN ACTIVE SHOOTER SITUATION.

1. Run
• Have an escape route and plan in mind
• Leave your belongings behind
• Keep your hands visible [WHY?]

2. Hide
• Hide in an area out of the active shooter’s view.
• Block entry to your hiding place and lock the doors

CALL 911 WHEN IT IS SAFE TO DO SO

3. Fight
As a last resort and only when your life is in imminent danger.
• Attempt to incapacitate the active shooter
• Act with physical aggression and throw items at the active shooter

1. HOW YOU SHOULD REACT WHEN LAW ENFORCEMENT ARRIVES:
• Remain calm, and follow officers’ instructions
• Immediately raise hands and spread fingers
• Keep hands visible at all times
• Avoid making quick movements toward officers such as attempting to hold on to them for safety
• Avoid pointing, screaming and/or yelling
• Do not stop to ask officers for help or direction when evacuating, just proceed in the direction from which officers are entering the premises

2. INFORMATION YOU SHOULD PROVIDE TO LAW ENFORCEMENT OR 911 OPERATOR:
• Location of the victims and the active shooter
• Number and type of weapons held by the shooter/s
• Number of shooters, if more than one
• Physical description of shooter/s
• Number of potential victims at the location

Fraid # 3 should be number 1 cuz if newspeek/social media showed potential shooters they were going to get beat to a pulp by the group welding chairs, fire extinguishers, books, other objects, it just might change their situational perspective of power and control a bit.
