$ mostly $100 per vendor, $95 reg + a fire saftey fee. Def should try to get some gun friendly vendors: food, clothing, supplies etc. Make streets see revenue They are missing.

Hit up the local gun shops for clothing and supplies and see what they say. Also, once plans get finalized, maybe clue the media in on it as well.

maybe get them to raffle of some range time or something of the sort

I also posted to sliden thrus facebook. Since they were a sponsor. And that was deleted as well. Nothing harsh, just letting them know we would not eat at the store anymore because of it.

This was an email I JUST sent to Courtney (whom I can assume is a coordinator of the event):

With all due respect to you and your fellow co-workers, I must say that I am very disappointed in your lousy policy when it comes to my freedoms that have been infringed. I will be getting with my lawyer to see what legal options I have.

"We serve alcohol here, so that's why..." from your poorly-trained "security" lieutenant is not a legitimate nor a legal reason to keep someone from enjoying your event while legally carrying a firearm. The ONLY thing in which will make it illegal when it comes to alcohol is when our Blood-Alcohol content is .10 or greater while carrying our firearm(s).

You would think that people's safety at your event is of highest priority, and I can PROMISE you that with us around, legally carrying our firearms, your event would deter non-law-abiding criminals from entering your event, therefore preventing a disaster like the one that happened a couple weeks ago in Colorado.

I can also assure you that with us around, we aren't doing it for attention nor doing it to scare anyone whatsoever... In fact, LVMPD has given myself along with my family and friends many thanks for having our personal weapons on us, because it keeps the streets safer, and makes their lives much easier to deal with the REAL problems in the city and the other local areas.

I look forward to hearing from you or your supervisor(s) in the near future. Until I receive that response, I will make sure to let anyone that I personally know, that they should not attend your event, therefore you will be losing out on income and business.

Again...my rights, along with my family's have been violated, and according to the United States Constitution, NOBODY can infringe on ANYONE'S rights..........NOT EVEN YOU!!

I say we Inform all of the participating vendors that, because of the streets festival policy, we and our friends family etc. will no longer be supporting their establishments including outside of the event until they either remove themselves from the event or push for a policy change. Hit em where it hurts the most, THE WALLET!

It's that lease thing. It's not who you rent it from that makes it public or private, it's who rents it that establishes public or private.

If a government (public) agency leases private property, it becomes public property. We've argued this before, when we go to government buildings that are leased property.

Same thing goes if a private business leases a public property, it becomes private property. Just like you renting a house or apartment.

If they leased it, they have a contract and the property included in the lease belongs to them and they can do as they wish.

The best you can do is what you've already discussed. Hit them in the wallet. Take your business elsewhere and let them know.

It might depend on whether there is access through/around it easily. For example, the MGM has the sidewalk blocked during construction and must let pedestrians pass through their building to get to the other side. They would not be able to prohibit your passage through their property if you were OC. You could walk through as many times as you wanted, but your right to passage would be just that, passage.

eff that. I say we stand on the sidewalk and get a bunch of signs that say "No firearms allowed = easy targets for mass murderers" and see how much of a dent THAT puts in their wallets.
We could even hand out open carry trifolds to everyone entering the event.
