A heart warming story. Good cops are like leprechauns. I nor anyone I know has ever seen one, but you can certainly find stories about them.

What were they thinking...? "Oooh, stopping this person absent just cause is a good way to undo all the bad actions we've taken over the past year...let's do it".

Or, 'stopping a person who committed a traffic infraction, claiming to give them a ticket (lying) and then giving them concert tickets (improper use of LE) is a good idea, and then letting them off from the actual infraction will be funny (dismissing a ticket "improperly" (which is legal, by discretion)). Do three wrongs make a fuzzy, warm right?

I understand the [strike]reason[/strike] excuse to attempt to circumvent the rules and the intent of them.
