Freightdog,
Thank you for your link and response. That takes care some of my main questions but I still have the question of my son (age 16). The link you provided me said a minimum age of 14 to OC but do they still have the same rights or privileges as an 18 or 21+ adult? Especially with a pistol.
As for the bears I have put my Remington .3006 under the rear seat of my truck.
Thank you,
-Wallace
And what law would that be? A cite would be preferred. However fed law requires that he be 21 in order to carry the firearm concealed on his person

Hello all!,
My name is Wallace and I am new to the wonderful state of Alaska for a job. The laws in Ohio and Alaska are quite different so I figured I would stop by here to make sure I have all of the laws strait before I do anything.
Since I am 32, I am above 18 so I should be able to OC. (Springfield Armory XD-9)
1. Can I have a round in the chamber?
2. Do I have to unload or lock the gun up in a safe box in a vehicle?
3. Can I open carry on an ATV?
4. Are there any specific places I can not OC in besides government buildings or schools?
Also I have an son who is 16. Can he OC (Springfield Armory XD-9 as well) on an ATV or an in a small town on the edge of the bush?
Thank you for all your help!
