I apologize for opening an issue that I am sure has been discussed but I am looking to confirm my "take" on Mississippi OC.
From what I can tell:
1. Gun rights derive from the Mississippi Constitution.
2. That constitution specifically states that the legislature may regulate concealed carry.
3. Either through court decisions or an attorney general opinion, any pistol in a holster is deemed partly concealed.
4. Therefore, there is no OC in Mississippi, only concealed carry requiring license/permit.
Do I have the gist of this correct?
Thanks, and again I apologize for my regretable, but hopefully, temporary ignorance.
