The way I see it

We all carry a gun for the unexpected situation. If it is the type of situation that you can watch dissolve and would have time to change fron condition III to condition I then most likely it is also the kind of situation that you could either 1) diffuse through other means 2) walk safely away from.

But those unexpected situations...do you want to HAVE to spend just a little bit more time screwing with your means of self defense?

Condition I all the way. One less thing to screw up under stress.

1911: hot and ready, or leave it at home.

If you don't know this, you don't know enough about your gun to be safe with it.

Get educated, or get a Glock instead... There is a reason (or 10) why so many Police Agencies use Glocks. At the top of the list is 'ease of use.' You don't have to be smart or educated to carry a Glock safely. But even then, some cops manage to ND/AD with them...
