I was escorted out of walmart today because of some "company Policy".
I've open carried at this particular walmart on more than 10 different occasions without any incidents except for today. When i was trying to purchase some ammo i was asked "is this for that gun you have" and i replied "yes" . After this the clerk said that he couldnt give me the ammo if i have the weapon with me that i am buying it for. He then walked away quickly after snatching back the ammo to consult a manager at which point he was told that he had to escort me out and then he could give me the ammo at the door.
Does this make any sense to anyone? I really felt kinda awkward being walked out like a child then given the ammo. What does this actually do? i mean its not like my weapon was unloaded anyway and if its for safety what would prevent me from walking straight back in?
If anyone is wondering this was at the Kingstowne Walmart.I wasnt treated badly or yelled at or talked down to but this policy seems odd and kind of dumb to me. Anyone else had an experience like this?
