Tomorrow at the state house Mom's demand action will be onsite demanding that some pro 2A bills be vetoed by Governor brewer. In addition they will be lobbying members of the legislature too.

If at all possible please go down to the capital and show your support for freedom!

They are being bused in and will arrive at 11am & stay until 3pm.

Sorry for the short notice - I just got wind of this foul event today. :(

More Bloomberg money at work here folks.

Address is: 1700 W. Washington St. Phoenix, AZ 85007

They've no shame, and I doubt they even know the meaning of the word honour with the way they pay professional protestors to make a big show of things.
I'm tied up all day tomorrow until 5 pm Thursday.
I'll have to settle for emailing the state reps and senators from their listings on the AZ legislature website. Thanks for the heads up.

As an extra incentive for anyone who is able to go, I'll buy you your choice of sandwich at the Hero Factory the next time I'm in PHX.

How to redeem this offer:
Take a "selfie" (can't believe I'm using that term) of yourself counter protesting at the event with sign-in-hand (and hopefully OCing as well).

Note: bonus points for having your kids in tow (teach them young to defend their Rights).

I posted this information over at THR in the Activism Section in case any is interested.

http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?p=9409165#post9409165

Alerts need to go out to NRAILA and GOA especially on GOA's Facebook updates. Alert other forums as well.

Good Luck
I'm a member of ArizonaGunOwners; posted a thread there:(http://arizonagunowners.com/index.php/topic,6763.0.html)

Thanks for alerting THR members.

@Javelina: I couldn't agree more about a Saturday lunch, but I probably won't be able to make it to PHX till the semester ends in mid-May.:(

Press Releases Found

I found these press releases.... Note the comment about transportation from Tucson, I wonder if Gabby is also behind this. Another curious statement mentioned "training"...what do they mean? Train for what? They are also going to have a press conference with state legislators as well as speaking out at the Arizona State Senate Majority Caucus Room.

Demanding Mom's Recon report -

Well I arrived 10 minutes before their big whammy jammy was supposed to start. I got nervous when I saw a huge set of canopy's and a long line of people waiting to enter. Turns out this was for the Arizona Hemophilia Association. A very nice group of people who represent a good cause IMHO. Contact info (602) 955-3940 or info@hemophilia.org

It appears the Demanding Mom's either got there and went in side very early, or their numbers were small? I did see a bus. Pics to follow.

Crime victim memorial - something the demanding mom's should look at and wonder what would have happened if those injured or killed could have defended themselves?

End yes - I did take a "selfie" in the bore mirror of one of the big guns from the USS ARIZONA. No won't post it here as I don't want to break the internet!
So I close with a picture of the mast flags from the ARIZONA.

Is there any other followup to yesterday's event?
How many pro-gun people show up?
Did Brewer listen to the anti-gun group or did she ignore them?
What was said at the press conference?
Was Gabby there too?

Actually, the gun with the plexiglass window into the bore (really dark in there) came from the USS Missouri. It's supposed to represent the end of WWII from the perspective of the U.S., with the south barrel signifying the start of (formal) U.S. involvement after the sinking of the USS Arizona at Pearl Harbor.
Really sad memorial once you think about how many name plates are there, as well as what that 400 inch (IIRC) strip of stones means.

I'm making sure I bring a broom next time I visit. There was a Vietnam vet who was removing pebbles and small wrappers by hand. Told me that his best friend never came back, still MIA.
Shame that not all of the memorials are kept clean (swept, even).

Thanks for the pictures, you've earned a free sandwich! But I believed you even without seeing a selfie.

I guess he's keeping us in suspense.
