If you watch the video, you'll see that the officer that arrived on scene with a long-rifle did not do that. In fact, he joined the armed citizen by kneeling with him on the suspect.

True, but a realistic one, based on history and personal expierience.

With a gun involved one can bet that lone officer had mucho backups there shortly.

What occured then is anyones guess.
