Before you read any of this, be aware of the fact that yesterday at a rally on the steps of the Capitol the Majority Floor Leader of the Senate said, "No gun control bills will pass the Senate this year. This includes any "Red Flag" laws."
Knowing that I cannot imagine any Committee Chair spending any of the time of his committee on a hearing for any of these bills.

BR 187 is now HB 31 and has been assigned to the House Judiciary Committee. A summary can be seen here: https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/record/20rs/HB31.html Click on "Introduced" on the third line of the summary to see the whole Bill.

BR 835 is now HB 76 and has been assigned to the House Judiciary Committee. A summary can be seen here: https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/record/20rs/HB76.html Click on "Introduced" on the third line of the summary to see the whole Bill.

BR 354 is now HB 130 and has been assigned to the House Judiciary Committee. A summary can be seen here: https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/record/20rs/HB130.html Click on "Introduced" on the third line of the summary to see the whole Bill.

BR 1117 is now HB 192 and has not been assigned to a committee yet. A summary can be seen here: https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/record/20rs/HB192.html Click on "Introduced" on the third line of the summary to see the whole Bill.

BR 342 is now HB 45 and has been assigned to the House Judiciary Committee. A summary can be seen here: ttps://apps.legislature.ky.gov/record/20rs/HB45.html Click on "Introduced" on the third line of the summary to see the whole Bill.

BR 282 is now SB 32 and has not been assigned to a committee yet. A summary can be seen here: https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/record/20rs/SB32.html Click on "Introduced" on the third line of the summary to see the whole Bill.

Terrific. Send some mojo this way so we can keep them from getting passed here in Va. We are taking on the fight and will ultimately prevail but have to fight the battle nonetheless.

Keep a close eye on the goings on over there in Ky. The battle over there will happen again and again.

And again.

You are right, Va Nemo. Va. has given us a wonderful gift. That gift is a warning of what could happen to us should we ever become so careless as to allow the democrats back into power in our state, we will face the same fate as you in Va. are now facing. Victories are won on election day, not on the steps of the capitol on the first day of the legislative session. No mojo here, just hard work that got the Republicans in power.

Just a question from an independent.

Do you really believe any of those bills would have passed the dem controlled legislature before the republicans took power.? The dems controlled the legislature for what 50 or hundred years before this and no gun control like that passed or came close.

My point is Ky is not VA. Ky dems are not by and large anything like the dems in control in VA.
That said I usually vote mostly Republican except for a few Dems like for example Webb who I know are pro 2A as written.

And I know some Republicans that would be fine if all we could own was a bolt action deer rifle and a single shot shotgun .

It's the person. Not the party.

BTW 130 has been withdrawn.

You are right, it is the person not the party. Do you expect any of those pre-2009 democrates to be elected and sent back to the legislature any time soon? Yes, the old democrats where excellent. Bob Damron was always our go-to guy for any new gun bills. Have you seen any of them hanging around lately? Do you think they could get past a primary in the west end of Louisville today? There are thousands of gun loving democrats, they just can't get elected in the numbers large enough to overcome the socialists that hate guns in that party. Today's democrat politician has to promise reparations to blacks, empty all the prisons, fire all the cops, allow trans gender bathrooms and free immigration. Which of those oldtimers can promise that? The democrat party is the political home for socialists, gays, blacks, trans genders, child molesters, those that want open borders, tax and spend liberals. There is no place left for gun lovers in that party. If you don't see that you need to get your eyes checked. The PEOPLE in the democrat party have changed, so the issues in the democrat party have changed and the PEOPLE that they send to Frankfort have changed. The ones they send now want to take your guns. If you don't believe that, what happened in Va. is not far ahead.

I don't care if those bills would have passed 50 years ago. Do you believe they would have been PROPOSED 50 years ago? All that I am glad of is that they didn't pass this year. If it was left to the democrats they would all be law this summer, thankfully the republicans have seen to it that won't happen.

You are aware ky has elections more often than 50 yrs.

This republican legislature is the first in how many decades?

Why didnt the last legislature that was dem controlled pass all that gun control?

Because other than 5 or six idiots elected around louisville and lex the rest know
1 propose gun control or vote for it when your ready to leave office.
2. why propose a bill and commit political suicide that you know few will comply with even if by some miracle it passed?

Sigh. Reread my post . I never mentioned last year.
I said the last legislature, the one before this one. Not last year.

The dem controlled ky legislature right before the Republicans took power.

That was what ? Couple of years ago.

You really believe that very last dem controlled Genersl Assembly would have passed this years proposed anti gun laws??

You know they wouldn't have.
Nor did they pass any gun restrictions.

Please calm yourself and actually read a post until you comprehend what says before flying off the handle.

You don't even know what you write. You wrote "THIS republican legislature is the first in how many decades?"
"THIS" does not mean "previous". You are a very careless writer, and I assume, a careless speaker and thinker.

I give up. I think your just playing word games to avoid having to admit the PREVIOUS dem controlled legislature would have killed all these Bill's as well.

At any rate, you I dont believe are going to give a straight answer when you have no argument. Regardless who the " writer or thinker" is.
Have a good day.

The democrats of yesterday are not the democrats of today, sure there are still a few good democrats out there that vote for our rights but they are few and far between. With that said we also must not just vote republican until we look at all the issues the candidate stands for, as most republicans may be pro second and constitution, there are a few of them that are not.

gutshot your behaviour being exhibited is truly becoming pervasive as well as becoming quite concerning since it is really out of your previous displayed character towards this forum's membership over the years.

respectfully recommend you please seek assistance from your local GP who has knowledge of medical history explaining the symptoms you are exhibiting for a viable diagnosis towards appropriate & successful treatment protocols.
