We have had it passed twice before, only to get a veto by the Governor. Schweitzer once, and Bullock (current) last time 2 years ago. They wait till the last minute to veto, knowing that there is not enough time left for an override. I fully suspect the same will happen this time. If that is the case, it will be four years until we can try the next Governor.

It was before my time, but what was it like getting the 1991 revision to the law? Things are changing with Terrorism and now Trump, the country is becoming more pro gun then anytime I can remember. I'm reluctant to get my conceal carry, as I only go into town about once a month, and make only a couple of stops for big shopping. Sometime I forget to remove the pistol from beneath my long jacket, so this complete constitutional carry would be nice for us with failing memory.

I hope the folks in MT can get veto proof majorities after 2018. Otherwise you'll have to wait until 2020. By that time half the country may be full ConCarry.
