i'm going to call the GhostBusters
There are a lot of dead bodies out there that individually said "enough is enough." Until collectively, as a group, say "enough is enough" then you may have a chance. All I hear in the news is they protested, BUT THEY BROUGHT THEIR GUNS!!!!!!! And the government knows that in the end you are ALL SHEEPLE and you will comply with their orders. Get in the cattle car.I ask this question not to start an argument or be flamed, so here it is.
When are we going to simply say "enough is enough", ignore laws like these that are clearly unconstitutional, and use our 2nd Amendment as it was intended? Do we wait for them to try to confiscate them? Or do we simply allow them to continue passing "laws" like these until we can't even buy ammunition? I mean, we could wait to try to rectify the problem during election time...wait. We already do that. And it doesn't seem to be working.
What I find ironic is there are some states that have laws "allowing" citizens to carry firearms, like they are "giving us a right".

Well, it was this year, not last, and we complied with the order because that's what law-abiding citizens do. As for non-compliance with the new laws, some of that will be at the discretion of local LEOs.
No, we haven't reaped what was sown. What we've done and will continue to do is make our case known to our legislators that they are infringing on our 2A rights with each and every "sensible" gun law that they propose. With the deck currently stacked as it is, it will be difficult, but we will persevere. We were successful in diluting many of the proposed bills, and some were deferred for later consideration (e.g. crime commission study).
The fight's not over. The opposition is strong, well funded and organized, but we'll continue to persevere. Can we count on your support?
So what would the right thing to do have been? We had three choices: 1) don't enter the restricted area; 2) comply and enter; 3) commit civil disobedienceExercise the duties transcribed in the Declaration of Independence, and tear down the barrier and entering armed. 4) Exercise our 2nd Amendment Right for its intended purpose. (which doesn't include standing in the grass in an area designated by the government specifically for your to exercise your 1st Amendment...)
We weren't there to start a riot or even a protest; we were there to hold a peaceful rally, which we did.
Were you there?
The government already has discretion to enforce its laws. But you know that. So far in this thread, you are already sitting and watching. So you are going to leave it up to the government to use discretion to enforce a law that the government has written? And since when is ignoring an unconstitutional order considered non-law abiding?
Do you honestly believe they care about your rights? If they did, we wouldn't be having this discussion.
You do realize that most of the BS (crime commission study) is just delay tactics, right? Every time a gun bill in introduced that doesn't say "Follow the 2A" it should be immediately considered a violation.
Ill sit back and watch you abide by the law when they say you cant have your gun.
VCDL does take contributions. Thanks in advance. What kind of support? This has been an ongoing battle since 1934. So what are you looking for? Cash?
Civil disobedience can be a good thing, but not not in this instance. Again, were you there? Oh, wait, you just watch.I fixed it for you.
You say civil disobedience like its a bad thing.
...repeal...now that right there is funny...I don't care who you are...For the most part, it's over. Until you remove this governor, legislator and repeal of those laws they enacted it's over.
At six years old I was taught that when the bully draws a line in the sand you cross the line and pummel the bully to within an inch of his life. You held-up a sign that said "we shall not comply" and then you complied. You refused to cross the line in the sand.
The bullies didn't outnumber you-all. You out numbered the bullies a 100 to 1 and you folded.
