As for this BS:
Any person who won't wear an American Flag pin ...
I wasn't aware that we are now required to wear flag pins in public like good little party members.
well, they tried neat little red armbands a few years ago, but found the pins to be more tasteful
personally, I will sometimes stand for the National Anthem, but I don't wear an American flag pin, and I don't stand and recite the pledge of allegiance. why? because America has become beside itself with blind patriotism. is that a bad thing? well yes and no. No, because everyone should be proud of where they come from, and yes, because blind patriotism means just that , BLIND. It is that same blindness that allowed so much infringement on our 2nd ammendment rights, our first ammendment rights, and teh many other rights that we supposedly have. That patriotism, that drives a man to make a comment like Illinoins just made is the same patriotism that has blinded us to the effects of laws like the patriot acts, and REAL ID.It is that same blind patriotism that will drive most everyone to lay down their arms, despite of the fact that the constitution recognizes our right to keep and bear arms, when the government saysfor us to. It is that same blind patriotism that allows us to watch as teh FED perpetuates acts against us that wouldhave made the founding fathers cringe, and it is that same patriotism that has allowed us to get so terribly close to teh police state that I fear we may soon become. you can pedge your allegiane to the flag, or to teh government, or to Bush, or to Santa Clause, but I believe taht I'll reserve my allegiance to the constitution, the document taht is supposed to guide this country.
oh and back on topic: Obama, just like Clinton and McCain are liberal idiots. I'll eb writing in Ron Paul.
