Spent an hour and a half at the Starbucks across from QFC in Edmonds. The girls at the counter definitely glanced, but were very friendly and chatty. I considered making a joke about having eyes, you know, but I figure it's better just to act like there's nothing out of the ordinary, and promote normalization. An elderly couple gave me a hard stare, but didn't say anything. No one else noticed or commented, that I was aware of.
This morning, my wife and I walked around the farmer's market for a while, and then went down to the beach. I concealed again, for her comfort, but I can tell that she's already getting to the point of not really caring. I think just knowing that I've been carrying at all when we're out and about has all but normalized it for her. And that's our goal for society at large, neh?
